After my holiday excesses I found my weight to be up 5 lbs on Monday. However, I recommitted to my food plan, talked to my coach, stopped drinking alcohol (surprisingly easy now that the holidays are over), began listening to podcasts about food addiction and overcoming it for inspiration. Basically I stopped "half assing" it and find myself down that pesky 5 lbs this morning. Power to the Potato!

Great job. I found that a single meal could bounce my weight by 4 pounds, 2 days after eating it. Returning to the diet it can take a week, but I'd drop 5 to 6, ten days later. In my case it wasn't "real" weight gain, just took a while to "clear the system"... lose that temporary fat. I hate the popup, "you've gained 14 pounds this week" for a temp weight gain.

Hey Jillywilly24 some of my fave podcasts for health/weightloss are The Exam Room by Physicians Committee (w/weight loss champ Chuck Carroll), The Corinne Nijjer Podcast, Plant Yourself w/Howard Jacobson.
