Carrington7's Journal, 14 October 2020

Been laid up for a bit for seizures issues and back issues, makes it hard to lose weight and easy to gain it. I saw the scale inch towards 300 and knew I had to do something. I'm so bad about skipping meals and then eating junk. I started drinking slim-fast 1 to 2x a day and really watching how much food I put on my plate at dinner. Going ok so far. Got shots in my back to help with pain and maybe I'll be able to move more and lose some more weight. I know it's going to take time, I just need to stay motivated. Seeing the numbers on the scale at the doc's go down, even just a little, felt good. I'm on my way
282.1 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 57.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sorry about what you're going through health wise. It's great that you have a plan and are willing to put in the work. 😊💪🏽 Also great job staying below 300.

What sucks about slimfast (or used to- I haven't had it in awhile) is that the cans are so heavy that you think you have more in there to drink and then you realize that you only got about 4 oz and it's a weighted can. LOL. It was then that I drank them as chocolate milk WITH my meals. I'm sure you will do better than I did. 😁

Thanks so for the support! Davidsprincess I found that if I use the powder mix, milk and throw in my cup of coffee with it in the morning it really fills me up. I've got bottles for ready to go but I'm usually aching for a snack with it

You can do it - just need to have patience. Also, when you’re not feeling well it is hard to exercise and not working is hard also for there’s more time to focus on food. All you need is to be able to lessen the calories somehow. I have been losing so little every day, but it is always a loss and it is finally adding up. Just keep yourself in the right direction like your doing. Buy a ton of celery, carrots, apples so if you have to munch you can. Try not to have sweets in the house for it is way too easy to throw tons of calories in without thinking and in no time at all. That’s the biggest shocker is how calories add up. You’re doing great and the wonderful people on FS will cheer you on. Be good today and have a wonderful Saturday! I am going to try to be extra good today as I am finally past the two mark, a place I haven’t been in years and years!!!! I would never thought I’d be here again, but I put just a small effort into it every day and only lost a tiny bit every day, yet here I am finally and you will too, just a tiny effort so you keep going the right way. Thank you shrewdness. A day at a time is what I'm trying to stick to, and not completely giving up just bc I fall at one meal. With 3 kids still at home, it's hard not to have snack food around but I'm trying to make sure they're better options, no cookies in this house! Happy Saturday 😊
