I’m gonna log my weight in the morning. Yes, it’s up. Yes, I care. No, it’s not easy being pregnant and everything tastes SO DELICIOUS. I gained 9 pounds in 6 weeks. But, I got weighed in the afternoon, and lord knows I struggle with water retention and constipation. My MAIN GOAL of being healthy enough to get the green light to deliver naturally versus a 3rd cesarean. Up until now, our OB was not sure if she would be recommending a VBAC or a c section. This is fulfilling a lifelong dream, a focus of my ambitions. And, then tonight, Steven and I were able to participate in our first Lamaze class. It was informative, romantic, relaxing... sigh.... I’m still on cloud nine. I celebrated my wonderful day with half of a small order of wings, a salad, and fried pickles 😄 and after we got back at home, my mom had baked her marvelous Bisquick shortcake for strawberries and whipped cream, which I had to have, of course, out of respect for her 😆 boy was it divine. A GREAT choice of dessert, because Steve and I were dining right next door to a Cold Stone Creamery, and bad decisions could have been made.
I feel victorious and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. My face hurts from smiling. The doctors scale might have read “218” today, but it can’t touch the happiness in my heart.
