peeperjj's Journal, 04 March 2019

My weight is staying 119-120. It’s boring! I’ve got an itch to lose more. The charts say 126 is idea for me. I didn’t feel that great at 107 or 132. I’m about halfway in between that. When younger I felt my best 120-125.

I’m also afraid of ‘bulking’ on the calories to gain muscle. What if I gain a lot of fat? Would I then cut’ again only to lose the muscle I’d gained? If it wasn’t so darn cold outside I’d do a month long experiment. However, I didn’t see any gains in size during the 12 weeks I was going tot he gym 2-3 days a week. Perhaps because I was eating 1200-1400 instead of the recommended 1500/1800? Or maybe it was because I was only lifting 20-40 minutes 2-3 times a week with whole week ‘breaks’ sometimes when the trainer was busy. Or more likely, I have surgical menopause, a cancer survivor and female... everything I read says those three things go against me. I didn’t miss all these questions for sure!

Now to google! If nothing else I’ll go back to my screenshots of the advice everyone on here have me back then. Really need to measure again too as I don’t think I have in two months. I’ve relied on my jeans and they went from a 6 when doing the liveSTRONG program to a 2 now. Also tried on every pair of jeans I could find. My denim (NO stretch) size 9 were baggy and the 6P tal were a little loose but I couldn’t pull them off when buttoned like the 9’s. Can someone explain why they would have a tall length in a petite jean?? My 4’s from old navy, 5, 5/6 and 29” waist western cut jeans all fit okay. Not great but they’ll do. I wear them tight and these are definitely loose. My old navy 2’s fit like a glove in the morning and loose by mid afternoon. If I throw them on the next morning to run tot he act or something they are super baggy. Dang jeans with stretch! Kinda sad tho. My absolute fav jeans I wore 2-5 years ago.. as in DAILY if I could, are so loose I can almost pull them off when buttoned. My ass is a bit thankful because those jewels on the pockets wasn’t comfy when I had to sit for an hour or more lol. But they are so cute and my fav! I now have a draw of jeans that fit and one of jeans that are a bit too big. They’ll be my summer gardening and riding jeans. I’ll want them a bit looser when the 90-110 degrees hits! I also have 5 jeans sz 6-9 ($30+ new), 5 leggings/yoga pants sz lg ($12-25 new) and a new pair of $40 snow pants sz lg to sell. Two pairs of jeans are a couple years old but still good every day condition. The rest look like new. I plan tot grow in 2 pairs of large workout undies that still have stickers or packaging and two pairs of older yoga pants as a bonus. It’s hurts. I wore those pants a lot when mom was sick in 2013 and they’ve been in a drawer because I couldn’t bare to part with them. Anyone know how much I should ask? Was thinking $100. Around here it would be $75-80 garage sale/flea market/thrift store prices and new for the snow pants since they are still tagged and in the bag (opened to try on). TIA for any ideas!

When u cut if you keep doing weights u will only lose from fat, just keep those muscle fulled (maintenance intake) 3 days a week consistently is better than 4 here and there

I plan to measure more often and use the BF scale. It still says I’m like 35% BF as of early February lol. BF stayed the same and I’ve gained 3% SM. 🤦‍♀️
