Toni Bourlon's Journal, 26 December 2018

December 26 - Day of Reckoning. I failed in my goal to not gain over the holidays, looks like I gained nearly 4 lbs. I mentioned that I greatly overindulged on Christmas Eve, which included 2 glasses of wine. I normally don't drink wine, LOL! So, today is the first day of the "Bikini" diet, a simple low-cal eating plan consisting of nutritious food that I actually LIKE, and are easy to prepare. I'm also off work until Jan. 7th (YAY!!!), which means I can get some exercise just about every day of the week. I started that yesterday with 40 minutes on the treadmill, ran 2 miles & walked another one. The tricky part for me will be getting back into the food tracking habit. Hopefully that 4 lbs will come off quickly, and with any luck a few more will go with them. I realize that as of today, I need to lose 20 lbs to meet my goal weight, but I'll start with the 4 lbs & see what happens.
155.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 14.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

It might be temporary weight gain from the refeed. It could take a couple of days to be used by your system, and then you should be okay. Unless you ate meat/animal, then it can take 2 weeks to get out of your system. Just please remember to be good to yourself, no matter what method you choose to get back to where you were before the holidays! As many FS friends have told me over the years: "It's a marathon, not a race."
