keto to Carnivore day 6 I think? the cut of meat I got was too lean and I was having trouble getting fat calories up. I could have just done a shot of bacon grease. so now it's about midnight and I'm hungry. I've been a bit hungry the last few days but I've fought it off. I think I'll grind the other roast with fat and somehow cook it. my dog is loving this carnivore thing lol. my health.. I stayed awake all day YES. I tried my rings on, most didn't fit but I took pictures where I could put them on to log the inflammation. I've got my mother's wedding rings on my pinky and they don't bother me at all. My mom, she was 100 pounds my entire life! ok, tomorrow will be ground beef, so boring, but if I walk away not hungry I DON'T CARE!

another thing I used to do when I was on a limited diet before, is I would fry up chicken thighs. I get the boneless skinless ones but any work. it just takes longer to cook them when they have bones. I hit the boneless ones a bit with my food hammer, don't know what else to call it, to thin them out a little. throw some sliced onions and garlic into the fry pan with some butter. A slice of onion is only about 3 carbs. I generally pull them out once nicely browned up a bit, then throw the thighs in with a little extra butter cook them up, once near done I put the onions back to add to the flavor. chicken is so boring plain. plenty of fat for you. you can do similar with any meat. today I have chicken breast and since I like hot things I will add some franks buffalo sauce as it is zero carbs once I fry up the breast pieces. Lots of butter will make it complete

This is a Carnivore, nothing added, NO CHICKEN, I'm trying to eliminate any allergy / inflammation triggers for a month. I'm trying to not use butter, and not using any sweeteners. None, no veggies, . Just beef and bacon till end of month. Bacon lard fat bombs are so gross lol!

no chicken?? carnivores eat chicken! okay that is very strict if you only eat beef. so I guess to add fat you need to cook up a lot of bacon and save the drippings. since you can't have eggs I would agree bacon lard bombs would be gosh aweful. Once you are clean I would consider adding butter and see if you have any effects. 6 days is long enough to pretty well clean your system. but if you are happy with bacon grease go for it. I feel for you, just beef is boring. at least you can have pork bacon?? or is that beef too??

when I was put on a rotational diet the doctor limited me to chicken the first 2 weeks, it was thought to be safer, so I understand the concept to eat one food to get clean

For fat you can save all your grease drippings, mix with cream and broth to make a gravy that is wonderfully delish and full of fat.

You may want to check out the Snake Diet dude on youtube. He did nothing but bacon for a month. Supposedly drank the grease... Not recommending this, but def amusing. Says his bloodwork didn't move in a month on the bacon diet...

@jimmiepop I love the Snake Diet Dude. He is so hilarious. "If you can't eat all your food in about an hour and a half that you are eating all day, you're eating way too much fking food anyways".

@jenjabba I don't know how to increase your fats then without the fat drippings or broth or cream.

hey did the doctor restrict your salt?? on this kind of diet you normally need that salt. are you feeling any effects of the butter?? restricting the diet is to tell if anything is bothering you. if it is not bothering you I would suggest you keep it. that is a nice source of fat. I understand the rest of it, but after a couple weeks I think I would introduce different protein source and eat that only for a couple weeks. that is a way to find your sensitive items. eating clean really does help.

Jimmie lol, he's crazy AF! 👍 ya, he ate 3350 calories a day in bacon! LOL didn't lose any weight really. His best results come from only eating in a tight hour window daily, makes sense IF. Let's make a bacon fat smoothie, ahh gag lol I'd give up bacon for the month but beef without bacon and carbs, and no dairy or eggs, is just ick. Maybe If I could afford the best steaks. Ground beef it will be, another 21 days at least 🎉

Baskington, the only way to find out If something is the cause of autoimmune inflammation is to give it up. I have no idea if a tablespoon of butter is bothering me. If your allergic to bee stings, one sting sets you off! If your not torrent of milk solid, one tablespoon could have effects that aren't noticed for days. SALT, NO , NO ONE restricts salt on keto. The good doc is doing a 30 day carnivore challenge the month of August. Join him on Facebook. DR Ken Berry

Yes, I was thinking the same as Baskington about pork. If your bacon is pork perhaps you could add fattier pork meat cuts for a little variety. I eat plain ground pork from Whole Foods. It makes a delicious burger.

Kimberly hahaha! Ya! It gets old lol. How about a donut at night when I'm hungry too 🐽🍴

Yes, I do include fat drippings and juices with the meat I cook. You never throw that out! I'll add my bacon fat to my gravy, slurp!

Trackin64 hmm didn't think of ground pork. I'm not a fan of pork chops, always tough and bland. I'll try ground pork and see how I like it! Thanks
