How fun! I've never actually seen a carnivorous plant in action, in person. BTW, I sent you a buddy request.

I've got a venus fly trap. It just snaps its "petals" closed on the fly and a few days later opens up with a little skeleton inside!

Hope it dries out down there soon. Sounds like you had a fun day.

have 3 types of carniverios plants. and a number of orchads and a few african violets, out back my banana tree and blue berries are doing well. . the succulants are doing well , the hibiscus and gardenias are happy. the drift roses are blooming ,the new magnolia tree is growing. the plumeria had rust on the leaves but i got that and they look better . oh yes , one elaphant era plant not too big and choladiums are pretty ;whish they where not annuals. birds and squirrles gobble seeds so much that i buy in 20lbs bags ; haven't seen the ducks in a while; hope the alligator didnt get them. or one of the monster kids in the neighborhood. turtle shows up rarely. so now you see why i'm always saying i'm working in the yard. not to mention the 2 barky dogs and bitey spoiled animals in the house plus 2 fish tanks. hmmm guess i sound a bit nuts.
