Rckc's Journal, 01 March 2016

Well, that really bites! Hadn't weighed in since January 22nd. Wanted to see how I did with not obsessing over "A NUMBER". I ate pretty much the same as always and I did manage to lose a half inch off my thighs, otherwise everything stayed the same. This past weekend I had a couple tamales and a brownie with ice cream. Maybe remnants of those carbs? I am resetting my goal weight and gonna go back to basics. I don't know, am I eating too many carbs or the wrong ones? I get almost all my carbs from veggies and stay under 10 usually a day.
BAH HUMBUG!

Rckc - You are not defeated, you are being challenged... NOT the same thing. You will rise to the challenge. You will look at what you have been doing or not and you will make an adjustment. You will be fine, a winner like you is never defeated!

ALSO, my weight is all sitting around my middle! I swear it is making me crazy!

Don't you just hate that!! It doesn't seem to matter what you do... I know I look a lot like a lollypop! My legs and backside aren't bad, but I have a stomach that has looked 10 months pregnant for forever!! I am very disproportionate!

wyolady, me too. I was at the gym yesterday and there was a woman in front of me on the elliptical who carried her weight on her bottom half. She had the smallest waist and I felt so jealous. I got to talking to her and we both ended up laughing about our bodies, how it seems no one is ever happy with what they have (or don't have)!

Just adjust your meals a bit. I skip meals here and there. What I actually eat isn't that good. lol

Especially since you're doing low carb and you had ice cream and a brownie over the weekend, your gain could be primarily carbs/glucose/water related. Cut back carbs and weigh again in a few days and you may be pleasantly surprised. You are not defeated!

The tamales, the ice cream - these could have a lot of sodium as well as carbs. Chances are that some of those 3 lbs are just water retention. Your head is in the right place and you're going to be fine. It may take some experimenting to find out what level of carbs you can eat without gaining or triggering excess consumption.

To lose 125 pounds in a year is an accomplish! Don't let the last little bit make you feel defeated, you are already a success and an inspiration to the rest if us!

I have been eating the Keto way (lo carb) since last august. Lost 110 pounds. It is frustrating at times no matter what you do. I decided that the numbers on the scale don't even compare to what my clothes and mirror tell me. You have accomplished a tremendous feat. I am proud of what you have done and applaud you.
