I went to nutritionist yesterday. Measurements are down. They are as follows Weight, waist, thighs, and resting biceps. I am down a bit in waist and the increase in bicep and thighs is muscle gain. We are still peplexed about basically no weightloss.

You’re losing visceral fat (smaller waist) and gaining muscle, which is replacing fat in your overall weight. It sounds like good news all around.

OTB, thanks. Still lots of work to do but I'm getting there.💪 Agnes, the perplexing part is that I went back to clean eating, strict monitoring, ate less carbs etc. It didn't produce any weight loss at all and for me that is super unusual. I do have some issues going on which I suspect are related to my Hashimotos disease. I think my thyroid may be low as I'm lethargic most days, not sleeping well at all, my hair is falling out, and my nails have very deep ridges. All signs of low thyroid. Going to be checked next week.

Diana - I feel your struggle with the weight and you are down in the waist which I think is the hardest for us! I actually took my measurements yesterday because I had not done it for quite a while. I am hanging in at 134# which no matter what I do I can't budge it seems. My waist is 31" which I am really trying to get below 30" for optimal health reasons. Right now I feel like I am fighting the Testosterone pellet that I got 2 weeks ago. They say you gain weight at first and I should be grateful I am holding steady thus why I did my measurements so that this does not get out of control. What does your nutritionist have you on for calories or macros right now?

Morticia, it is better news than I thought but for how hard I've been working, both with diet and in the gym it makes me wonder...I've added 2 days of cardio to my weightlifting at gym so if nothing else I'll hopefully get toned. 💜 Redporch, thanks, I knew you would understand the frustration. I've kind begun to accept that this may be my new reality. I want to get to 132, not 130 as I noticed the benefit of a bit more weight has helped my crepe/ saggy skin. My nutritionist has me back to original macros as going super low in carbs was not giving me results. I am now doing 100-130 grams of protein, 100 grams of carbs, and 35-50 grams of fat. She also increased my calories to 1300 daily. She feels like because my workouts are back to 6 days a week I need more calories.

Redporch, what is benefit of testosterone pellet? Are you low? Are you back with trainer yet? Are you still following your original macro WOE? I am headed to San Diego today to get my 3 month heart checkup and they are going to adjust my pacemaker to sportsmode. I'm so excited! It will allow me to get optimum results from both cardio and weightlifting.

I am really low on Testosterone and have had to fight menopause symptoms since my hysterectomy at 45. I am tired of hot flashes, insomnia and other issues so this was a last ditch effort to try and get some relief. I am still with my trainer and following my macro's. He doesn't seem too concerned because I am lifting heavier again and no issues with my knees. I am excited for you to get you pacemaker where you need it and can't wait to hear the results!! I get my heart check up in April. I go every two years so hoping no changes.

I just saw your macros and that is basically what my trainer has me on too! But the only difference is I only lift 3x a week and nothing else on the other days. I also want to get to 130 just as I think I could get my waist closer to optimal but I will keep trying. I go on vacation here for two weeks so I am not going to worry about it but when I get back I will hit everything with a vengeance. I wonder when you get in sport mode if that will make a difference for you?

Agnes is right. You’ve lost fat and gained muscle, most likely. I don’t suppose you can do scans with your device, but maybe you could just use skin calipers to track for sanity’s sake.

Katsolo, You are right. Cannot have body scans or even use a fancy BMI scale because of magnets. I do know that I feel and am starting to look more muscular, especially in upper arms and shoulders. That's a win!👍🩷
