wow, my husband is so supportive. He just ate an entire loaf of cornbread with half stick of butter, 1 pound of black eyed peas, 4 bacon knots and then a half gallon of mint chocolate cookie ice cream. Later he'll get a quart serving bowl of cereal. Just to fill in the empty spots. twitch.

Sounds like my husband (and 2 teenaged boys who are 6’1 and 6’4)!! My husband is a mail carrier, and he walks ~15 miles a day so he can eat!

Was this his heroic effort to save you from yourself? Or is this his usual fare?

Unfortunately for the grocery budget, this is normal fare. I had 3/4 cup cooked peas and half slice of cornbread. And I'm stuffed. He has a physically demanding job but he eats like a 16 y/o football star, who runs track and plays tennis and whatever other physical thing guys do at that age. I really made this meal because I didn't want dinner but didn't want to just skip it. He used to eat like this and drink a handle of rum every night. While he was loosing weight. Where the calories go I've no idea.
