It's a cold rainy Saturday. Good day for menu planning & making grocery lists. For me, planning is something I've been long neglecting. Apparently weight loss does not happen by accident - who knew?

Same here. Wet, cold.... makes me crave stuff like bagels and mac'n'cheese... But it's not on my personal 'menu'! So yes, planning, planning, planning! It's a lot harder to randomly make a bad-for-you meal if you know what was on the menu, so to speak. Good luck!

LOL! I KNOW!!! Planning seems to be the key. Just plan it all out, make some food ahead and freeze it in portions, labeling which day and which meal. It's nuts. I was never this organized before. Well, I still am not, but I am trying to be. :)

Way to make the most of a dreary day! A trainer once told me that my diet was 80% of my weight loss success.

Hey Buffy - yes, I was most successful when I planned my meals, I just made a batch of mashed cauliflower as my potato substitute - made enough for 6 servings!

HGB - So both you and Mom2Boxers do batches. Something I should start considering. Thanks!

Yes - during the week I do not have time to cook anything after work except my chunk of protein whatever it is...I can then microwave the veggie part...cauliflower mashed, or eggplant casserole, or just grill some asparagus...easier than starting the sides from scratch.

Buffy is your hubby still working out of town during the week?
