Just a blip on the scale. Don't beat yourself up.

The scale is a harsh mistress. She messes with your mind and threatens to undo all the good you've done. Don't let her win. Stick with your program and wait her out.

Sometimes after working out your body repairs and holds on to resources. Trust doing the right thing the scale will follow - it just takes longer the closer you are to ideal weight. Take time to celebrate how far you have come. Soak your feet, get a new hair cut, scrub down your skin and feel the person that you are meant to be.

Don’t give up! The scale is possessed

spark is right. It's just inflammation. Think about it this way: did you overeat 17500 calories over the weekend? If no than it can't possibly be fat. The scale will drop back down in a day or so. My husband had the same freakout on Monday. He was up 2 lbs from all the inflammation our biking and gym last weekend caused and he was going on about how he should be on a calorie deficit again. He was back to 155.5 this morning without any changes to his calorie intake. Just be patient.

I bet it goes away as quickly as it appeared. Don't get discouraged.
