Wishing you a speedy recovery. What is the hook on the prosthesis for, if you don't mind me asking

I have no idea what that hook is for, I’ve been wondering myself why is it there, I can certainly feel it. It’s not that painful, I’m out and about and have been off painkillers for almost a week. I’m happy to say I flushed half a bottle of oxy. It’s a dangerous drug and it’s better not to have around (I have kids).

My husband (used to be an ER doc) calls them "donor-cycles." Get better soon. XOXO

I looked it up. It looks like the stem part is inside the bone & the hook part is outside the bone.

I've looked it up, it's an "anterior flange" that adds stability. I guess it stops rotational movements of the prosthesis. I'm sure you'll get used to it soon and it won't be as noticeable. Best wishes

Won’t help my son fix his!!!😕
Knew a lady that still had skin underneath her car from running over a dead motorcyclist. Sorry, but that’s reality, drivers in cars are careless and don’t care about motorcycles!!! 😖
