Superbowl Sunday and no television reception. I'm not a football fan but my husband enjoys the game. It isn't that I don't like football, I simply don't understand the game!! LOL!!! We have friends who will be watching but since we live sort of in the boonies hubby isn't sure he wants to drive all the way to town just for the game. We'll see!!

My last weigh in was 15 days ago ... well not really just my last weigh in on fatsecret. This trip ... I didn't gain!! Unbelievable I know. I did eat more calories than I usually do but I didn't go crazy. I enjoyed myself, had a good time, felt "normal" and my daily weigh in this morning was actually slightly below what my weigh-in on Friday morning was. Now is only I could actually LOSE weight and get back to my range!!! UGH. Okay. Enough said. Damn the damn scale.

Coffee just finished perking. I'm feeling hungry this morning too. I think I'll do some Pilates and then likely some kettle bells. I feel like I need to stretch myself out. Laundry needs doing, we do need a few things from the market so we might go to town anyway but not necessarily at superbowl time!! Can you watch it on the computer???

And so life goes one ... gratefully ... and I am grateful for ...

1. how stunningly beautiful the lake was as I was driving across the long bridge yesterday evening at sunset!!

2. Smooth travel ... to and from Boise ... good company while I was there ... thought provoking interactions ...

3. a day at home before the work week begins again

4. an interesting movie last night, Welcome to the Rileys

5. a good night's sleep

Perhaps I am getting used to being "stuck" at this weight. Perhaps my practice at self kindness is beginning to pay off. I feel less worried about where I am at in the journey. At least today I feel less worried. It indeed "is what it is" and while I don't understand the stall it is clear to me that I simply need to move through each day as it comes and do what is healthy for me.

Perhaps I'll try on my summer clothes today so I can see what is comfortable to wear right now. I still have another month before I go to Mexico so my body could still shift slightly too.

Regardless, life is good, even when it is full of challenges which it often is. Hoping you all are enjoying a restful weekend!!

Sounds like all is well in your world. Keep up the good work and excellent job on not overdoing it while traveling!!! Keep up the good spirits cause I've found unhappiness doesn't move the scale at all. have a good one!

So sorry for hubby about the tv. I am not a sports fan so it wouldn't bother me. You sound well today...and at peace which is good. I have weigh in coming up in the next couple days I think. I have not been standing on that scale everyday. Once a week...I have not even been tempted. We just have to believe if we are doing the right things..the right thing will happen. I am so glad you like those kettle bells. I think they are so much fun. Just keep ballistically thrusting and snapping..lol

What can you do... It's like that watched pot. It is going to boil either way eventually. Now you can stand there watching it and being frustrated or you can go about your business while it does it's thing. Looks like you are going about your business :). No tv reception on superbowl day sounds kind of awesome to me! I don't really like football beyond one particular team, and they aren't playing lol! But I will likely "watch" aka, sit beside D while he watches and muck about on fat secret! See you there.

I never really watched a football game, and the only time I saw it on tv I couldn't figure out what the hell they were doing lol! Great news about not gaining on your trip. That is certainly an important thing, because you had said usually you gain when you are away from home. You are on something here!! Keep going Carol, the simple fact that you are less worried about the stall might be a sign things are going to change soon! Have a great Sunday!

One can always HOPE the stall gets unstuck!!! Regardless I know I am getting stronger ... I can feel it in every workout and every day as I move around. I'm with you ... I can never figure out what the hell they are doing during football!! Guess I am impaired.

Yes life is good despite whatever we weigh. Yes, it would be nice to weigh less than we do, and we will get there, but for today, life is good, and that's enough. One day at a time. Hope you enjoyed the rest of this free day before more work tomorrow. Hugs

Carol, your attitude has always been inspiring to me. I am stronger by being your buddy. We have watched the super bowl before but for me- it is only about the commercials. lol. And, we are not watching it either this year.

Hi! My friend Woody explained one very important aspect of football to me: Once a team gets the ball, they get 4 downs (that is, tackles or the ball hits the ground somehow) to take it a certain distance (10 yards from their original catch, I think) - so the announcers say "3rd & 8" means the team is on their 3rd try and have to get 8 yards to get past their imaginary "go" line to keep the ball. Certainly made the game more interesting last night to have the explanation!

The best thing one can do in this journey is relax, carry on, don't sweat the small stuff and change your habits, actions when needed everything else will fall into place. I never got the game of football I just see it as a bunch of fat big guys beating each other up trying to get to a ball LOL.
