wholefoodnut's Journal, 10 March 2014

My class turned into a one on one, no one else showed up. Was good she had suggestions to add to what I'm doing and to change some things. Also bought a brand new in the box never put together exercise trampoline at a thrift shop on my way home. Am getting bored with my morning walking before work, going to give it a try. Supposed to be 75 today, still chilly but it's starting to warm up. Day to tackle my backyard.

I hope the trampoline works for you. It should be easy on the joints. Sounds like a great way to revamp you exercise workout.

I just looked up trampoline exercise: ///// The Best Trampoline Exercises /// Last Updated: Jan 07, 2014 | By Walt Pickut //// Trampoline exercise, also called rebounding, is almost 70 percent more effective in fitness training than jogging on a track for the same amount of time according to a 2006 NASA research report published in the journal "Aviation, Space and Environmental Medicine." Even the most intense trampoline exercise inflicts less bone and joint impact than running. The best trampoline exercises burn calories, build heart and lung fitness and improve your balance. ///// Anti-Gravity //// With each bounce on a trampoline, you fight the pull of gravity. The higher you jump, the more energy you use, which increases the number of calories you burn. Each landing on a trampoline not only stops your downward movement, but also accelerates you back up, forcing your muscles to react to as much as three times the force of gravity. Rebounding also fine-tunes your sense of balance. Your moment of weightlessness in the air with each bounce exercises a variety of muscles to maintain your orientation for each landing. ////

Chicturu was talking about her new trampoline. I started looking on line and discovered the same info you did. Just happened to see one at the thrift shop. Put it together, it's missing a couple springs about a buck per from what i saw on line Will find some in my travels this week. Should be interesting Taking a break from the yard. Dang i wish i was In better shape. I'm determined to get fit no matter what.

Did it again! I responded earlier about how nice the one on one was. Now my comment is gone.

Mine get lost sometimes too. I canceled my Wednesday one that was scheduled as it happened today. Need to find somewhere local for springs. Have to buy a big pack online.

Walking or running alone is definitely difficult, mentally speaking, at least for me :)
