Selbygirl6's Journal, 01 March 2021

Happy March 1st and Happy Monday. It is a happy day for me, indeed. I hit the 20 lbs lost since the First of November. This puts me at a weight I haven't seen since last February. I managed to lose 10 lbs in November and then just stay the same for December and January because of turning to food and wine for emotional reasons. In February I got back on the path and lost another 10 lbs. For March I am hoping to lose another 10 lbs, though I will be delighted to get in at least 5 lbs so I can wear (most of) my size 14's that have been gathering dust for the past year. Today is the beginning of "Starchy Marchy" and I have my food plan laid out for the month. Away we go!
224.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 6.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

How do you manage to lose so much!?

Hey makenziem1125-I have been doing the Spudfit Challenge with Andrew Taylor. I did 30 days of only potatoes back in November and dropped about 11 lbs. Then I kept up with the potatoes but added back in fruit and veggies in December and January, however I was definitely drinking wine and eating some restaurant food. So in February I went back to mostly potatoes with some fruit in the morning and veggies at dinner. I managed to drop another 10 lbs so I'm sticking with it for March. We shall see.

Now I understand "Starchy Marchy". How many different forms of spuds have you tried? And which are your favorite?

Hey Cynthia Deal. I usually eat Japanese Sweet Potatoes for breakfast or when I want a sweet snack. I like the Russet's and the Yukons, too. We have an air fryer so I like to throw some sliced cooked spuds in there for 10 minutes to get a crispy wedge. I also enjoy mashing the Yukons and having the cooked veggies with them. So simple and so easy.
