Well I hit the big 40. Don’t feel any differently lol. But my goal of being all muscular and hot by 40 didn’t happen lol. But staying under 125 did! I’ve been eating a bit less here and there then deciding against a snack here and there. Normally I’m up 2000-4000 calories each month over what it says I burn and I’m maintaining. Turns out I was only up about 800 so I went a bit overboard for my birthday meals. Wasn’t very hungry at lunch so just had half of a ham and cheese omelette. Dinner was half of a 6 oz steak, 3/4 of a baked potato with butter, 3/4 of a side salad (kiddo begged for some so I shared), 3 cheddar bay biscuits and like 3 mozzarella sticks. Hubby bought me a dozen biscuits to bring home and snack on! Yay!! It’s like my favorite ever snack but I can tour them down. Therefore I don’t eat them often. 4-6 is a snack.... Still managed to keep under 2500 I think. Haven’t logged the ice cream yet but it was about 1/2 a cup and I shared a bite or two with each kiddo. I still have enough calories left to splurge for Christmas too! I’m hoping to stay 5000-7000 kcal over my burn for the entire month. That’ll be up to a pound gain. It’s doable!

Congratulations. Sounds like you had a very good day. Goodies and family to share those with. Those are wonderful things.

Thanks! I received cash to shop with, a sonic gift card, a few kitchen items I’ve been wanting but haven’t gotten for myself, cards and dinner with family. The absolute best part was dinner with my great aunts! I’ve only seen them like 3 times since covid hit (once for a party and the other times just to drop off elastic for their mask project). We’ve had to give up all holiday meals this year and I was really down about not seeing them at Christmas. They are older with health issues so I really hope we social distanced enough and that nobody gets sick. Thankfully we were home for the most part the week or so before and hey say symptoms usually come on by day 5 after exposure. That makes me think we are good and haven’t been exposed so we wouldn’t expose them.
