I have been hit with a cold. I think my body is really putting me to the test because I am always my most vulnerable when I am sick. I seek comfort in food and relaxation which is exactly the opposite of what I should be doing! So far I have been chugging hot water with lemon and cinnamon with just a tiny bit of honey. It calms my throat and gives me a sense of comfort. I am thankful that this sickness has hit before I return to college. It is so much harder to handle with this uncomfortable feeling alone while going to classes, not to mention play my saxophone in my congested state. I will make it through this sickness! I will not give in to the Christmas cookies and boxes of See's Candies that are currently calling my name. I will drink my hot lemon water and feel great about it :)
