I struggled and struggled trying to get pictures of these roses today. They are my absolute favorites and off one of my first three bushes. They are striped red on red, but my camera always washes them out to make them look a bit pink. The most accurate color is actually the picture I got on my white kitchen counter, but it is blurry! Oh well, surely I used a calorie or two fussing! :)

I cannot imagine trying to do roses in the PNW and just rely on the rhodies to add color to the yard. These are absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks, Shir and John! I do love them and just wanted pictures that could actually be accurately representative!

Chris, you are wiser than I am! I got started with roses before I had any clue how hard they would be to maintain in this crazy climate! You are really right and know what it is like here, Jazzy! 😁 I'm constantly fussing and working to keep the darn things healthy! I did recently figure out a new concoction to help with beating back the powdery mildew! It does damage leaves somewhat, but the buds and flowers seem to be doing just fine, so it is worth it not to have the wretched stuff overtaking my garden!

Thank you, HCB! I think it is a challenge for sure, but I love the reward... Kind of like eating well and exercising! Not always easy for sure, but worth every effort! 😁

And, Jazzy, one of the reasons I love the roses is they keep blooming right into "winter!" Well, such as it is around here! 😁 Chris has been to visit us and seen my wonderful deer defense! It is working... So far! I keep fearing the sensor will fail and my motion detecting sprinkler will not go off some night when the munching marauders are around. It is my nightmare! 😁

You did a pretty good job capturing their beauty. I don't have your talent with roses, but I love to share some of my garden beauties. I have a bit of a reputation on FB with some of my friends. They often comment on enjoying the photos I post. Sharing adds to the joy 😊💕 Keep sharing your roses so I can enjoy them, too.

Thank you, dear Becky! ❤️ Katsolo, thank you for your support. We are all more than weight management and exercise. Pups, pools, people, and even our posies help us find balance physically and emotionally... They are what make the whole of our journey!
