deborahkerr's Journal, 26 May 2020

I am either pedal to the metal or lazy as a sloth. Yesterday I couldn't get 6000 steps and I had plenty of free time. Today I got up early. I went on my walk. just under 7 miles. I got home was anxious because my granddaughter was taking her driver's test. She had to go to a bigger city nearby to take it instead of our little town. I thought why not go for another walk. so did my almost 7 mile walk. I came home found out my granddaughter did not pass. I had lunch. Now it is in my head try to hit 35000 steps. I walk to the store and back and I am at 32000. Steps perfect I work tonight I can do that. Well it was a stormy night so I got a lot of walking in. I surpassed 35000. So I thought why not 42000 a new record. When I locked up I was at44972. So when I got home I walked around a few blocks I am at 45362. I was hoping to get a lot of steps in tommorow but I have to work both jobs

That is awesome! The most I ever did and only once was 30000 in one day. You're good!

Wow!! How long does something like that take? I don't know that I've ever hit over 25000 and I felt like it was with walking all day long. Makes me wonder the record.

The two walks of around 7 miles takes two and a half hours roughly 645to915. Second walk 1000 to 1230. Lunch half an hour. Did some house work. Walked to store and back. Drove to work. I work 4 to 9. It wasn't busy so I did laps in the store. An hour and a half if vacuuming sweeping and mopping. When I got home at 915 I had just over 900 steps to hit 45000 steps so I walked around a few blocks by my apartment. I realize these numbers are high. They only happen when I have time and I push myself. I wish I could figure out how to transfer the numbers from my Fitbit. Sorry you don't believe me I won't post my steps again

I don't think she's doubting you, I think she wonders how many steps the record is. I did a 24 hour walk for cancer once, I wish they had trackers back then, it would haven been interesting because we went pretty fast up until the middle of the night stuff.

Thanks everyone. I do not want to give the impression I can and do this often. The stars were just aligned. I like to bump things up by 5000 steps so if I hit 20000 u start shooting for 25000 ECT. I wanted to shoot for a high number today but I had to work both jobs. So no time for my normal walk. Plus the liquor store is crazy busy today. It is after 6 and I haven't hit 12500 which is my daily goal. Thanks everyone. A year ago I could not walk a mile. I live the ability to do more than I once was able to do. I am looking forward to going to the gym and work on my strength

Deborahkerr, it doesn't matter what we think you do every day, it matters that you have gained the ability to do it over the past year and that you did it. celebrate the accomplishment, it's pretty awesome.

Oh I stopped reading this post. If you are talking about me...I definitely believe you! And I definitely need to move my ass more. I don't know how much I really walk in a day because I don't carry my phone around with me at work. I like to leave it on the desk. Maybe a fitbit would be good.

DP you have always been a positive influence on me. Between Tim, Letty and yourself I am going to make weights a priority when the gym opens. I don't carry my phone around either but I do have a fitbit which I love. Thanks for being inspiring 😎
