Good morning FS friends, yes I'm finally back logging & blogging. Tomorrow will be the first official day of my month-long unpaid vacation, so I've decided to give Clean Eating a try. Maybe it will help get the BP down, though I'm not truly expecting it to help me lose those last 5 lbs. I mean, maybe, but the plan I found isn't really low-calorie enough, I don't think. Still, I've wanted to try Clean Eating for a few years, but there's a time factor involved that made it impractical before now. Time won't be an issue for the next month anyway. The food will be healthier, cheaper than eating out & it's something to DO! I hope I don't become brain-addled from watching TV all the time, LOL! Though this month will be a trial run for what retirement will be like - I keep saying I'd like to retire at 62 (in 2 years). Anyway, this week I'm also working on a baby blanket for my Niece's new grandson. Wow, that sounds so weird saying that, like I'm really OLD!

To be honest, this morning I woke from a wonderful dream where I was with my daughters & grandkids, whom I haven't actually seen in over 2 months! And even though it's Memorial Day, I'm still not going to see them, so now I'm kind of depressed. I wanted to break my Clean Eating plan & get some blueberry pancakes, but instead I made my own. That's kind of a victory for me. Anyway, my plan is to actually LOG what I eat & stick with this CE plan for the next month. Right now my hubby wants to go to Home Depot & I'd like to go with him, just to get out for awhile. I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day, hopefully with your loved ones close by. And a big salute to our Military men & women who fought & died for our freedom!
