Katsolo's Journal, 06 November 2019

I'm lying to myself somewhere, I can't figure it out. I was focused and dropping, got sick Monday and I'm still at the 162.5 this morning and I don't know whether it's food or exercise. Can't still be inflammation from the upset stomach. I'm going to have to be mindful of everything and weigh it all and log it all (pretty good about the logging).

I'm back on track with exercise although last night's pack walk was only 2.5 miles. The group is getting larger and you can only go as fast as the slowest person. Not ideal, but I'm not going to turn anyone away if they're willing to try.

Plans to move forward this week: I have some hard deadlines at work, so may be working late, but if I get the dogs out on a proper walk, will insert some faster walking on the longer stretches without streets to cross. Can't do the big hill at night, too dangerous over there in the dark and not enough people around, but will try and hit it this weekend. 1/2 mile with an 18% grade. Double sessions for the weekend.

I just looked at my calendar, I'm eating more than I used to over the past few months. exercise is about the same. calorie creep. just as easy to cut back a little as to eat more.

If you don’t lose, you don’t count properly, sorry. You’ll get there!

You can only go as fast as the slowest person... I never thought about that. Thank God I have no friends. LMAO! Good luck!!

@DP, here's the irony; none of these people are my close friends. They follow me through the park and listen to what I tell them to do because I show up on a regular basis. I have three large dogs in a tiny CA house. I have no choice. I'd lose my mind.

Lol. I love it! So this is something you started and now others are joining? That amused me! 😆

It's the weirdest thing. Couple of years ago when I first got my big boy German shepherd, he was too excited to pay attention in GSD class. The instructor told me to get there early and walk him around the park. Over time, and especially during the holiday season, we will have a group of 10-20 or more German shepherd dogs walking around Balboa Park in a huge pack. We take them through the museum and theater crowds, encourage petting and interaction. All the dogs are cool with one another as part of the mega-pack. When it gets really funny is when you have a literal busload of tourists wanting to take pictures of the dogs against the various settings. As much as I don't take pics of myself, there are probably a couple hundred pictures of me and this group floating all over the world because of the now almost legendary German Shepherd Pack Walks of Balboa Park. We've had tourists run up to us from China saying they saw us on FB, etc.
