Happy Saturday everybody! I’ve been cleaning my house and otherwise getting myself and my family ready for a little Halloween costume party I’ll be hosting here in a couple hours. It’s tradition. And Steve’s first time joining us for our Halloween fun. I typically have enjoyed wearing pretty daring costumes but this year being so early postpartum I’m just keeping it simple with a black shirt and a festive headband. The baby however is a sea turtle! And little Matthew is a Minecraft zombie! Pictures for sure later on. I really wasn’t given any notice from my sister and my mother that I was going to be hosting this party up until yesterday, and that’s kind of typical of my family ha ha. They like to suddenly say hey we’re coming over get ready to throw us a party :-) and I’m good at it so I enjoy it. I decorated and cleaned and even had time to fix my hair. Funny thing is now I’m absolutely exhausted. I’ve been fasting today until our guests arrive with a garlic chicken pizza. I’m going to have to eat slowly because I can really put it away. And I’d like to be able to stay on track but still celebrate the holiday with my family. I’m so ready to make happy new memories. The fasting is going well for me, but I do get a little lightheaded. I could be doing better at drinking water I guess. But geez since I’m not shovelling food into my face I have to deal with all of the anxiety and bother some feelings that come along with life in general. I’m really serious about getting rid of this vice. I’m using my time fasting to think about who I am as a person and who I want to be. I’m allowing myself to feel tremendously relaxed and to let go of all of my stressors from the last year. It is truly ironic that I have divorce court on Thursday which happens to be Halloween. One year ago on that date my marriage died, and so this is truly a new beginning for me. I’ll check in later. I should probably have some sort of game plan for how much pizza I’m going to eat before it gets here. For squares, but how many grams. I’ll have to start doing some research. I have over 1000 cal to spend on the night. But just because I have that money doesn’t mean I have to spend them all in one place :-) I hope everyone’s having a nice Saturday night! Show me pictures of what you were doing.

300g of pizza is 830 calories. The same as 10oz. I’m going to have to weigh my pizza and see because I really have no idea what that translates into size wise. Part of my flexible diet is the fact that I can work pizza in. I was planning on lighter fare when I was thinking of my plan for the weekend, but this will also work. And I would like to also add in here that I have been setting out individually wrapped mini candy bars and cute little decorative bowls and candy corn which also happens to be my weakness. I have only had one piece of candy corn :-) and it hurt me inside to walk away from the bowl but I knew it was the right thing to do ha ha
