Question: Is there a way to log a food by its Macros instead of searching each item? For instance, my friend runs a food prep business and I can get the macros for each item as they have it figured out, or I can blindly guess by trying to log each ingredient and the quantity. It would just be easier if I could log my breakfast burrito as 38g Protein etc instead of trying to figure out how to log Tofu Scramble, vegan cheddar jack, etc...

I tried looking in the Community, but it doesn't look like things get answered very fast.

You would probably need to create a "NEW FOOD" category which option is given at the bottom of a food search. Say you're adding bacon and the macros for it. Under food description put MACROS and describe the product. You would then decide what macros YOU are assigning and WHAT category it/they will be assigned to....carb/fat/protein. ONLY you would be able to use that as you know what it means. If you search MACROS all your entries would appear. To make things easier, why not enter foods like normal and take advantage of the REPORTS found in FS?

The reports in FS across the bar at the top will show daily/weekly MACROS.

Id like to be able to log it without searching for each item since they already have it all figured out. I dont know what brands, quantity, or how they cook each item. Sometimes they marinate food and it doesnt come up in the database. Ive been doing my best at guessing, but id like to take the guess work out.

I see...don't think that is possible on FS.

If you look over to the right on your diet page there is a My Favorite Meals box. Once you list what is in your 'breakfast burrito' the first time you can save it there and next time you want it all you have to do is click on 'b.burrito' under your fav. it will pop up and you can add it. You can also make your own recipes.

I believe you can list the things under My Custom Foods.

You can add a new food in the app. For any meal type, Search for anything, then at the bottom of the page, click on "Add new food". You give it a name, enter the portion size and nutrition values, and save it.
