So, yesterday was Fat Tuesday, and BOY did I indulge myself! Diet? What diet? We went to Chili's last night, but I did try to keep the excess from being TOO excessive (if there is such a thing). 6 oz grilled steak w/sautéed shrimp, broccoli & sweet corn on the cob, plus a mini-molten lava cake for dessert. Yeah, probably still over 1000 calories but there you are. Today is Ash Wednesday, so a little fasting to try and make up for yesterday. No meat or chocolate - I'm sure I don't have to tell you which one will be harder to avoid:(

So sad about that actor Luke Perry dying from a stroke, and only 52 years old - I turn 59 this month. Yes, there's more than one reason to lose weight, we all want to look good AND be healthier! My hubby is back to testing his blood sugar, so yes we must focus on a more diabetic-friendly WOE. At least the cold snap seems to be over here, and Daylight Savings time returns Sunday. This means I should be running outside instead of on the treadmill - we'll see.
