I'm still eating whatever I want but I don't feel guilty about it. This includes ice cream and sweets. I'm not keeping a food diary on the regular. The only thing I am doing is taking longer walks and that alone has made me feel a lot better. Once I get the tennis shoes on, I feel motivated to walk. And after my walk, I feel energized and able to accomplish more desk work and household chores. I hope I can keep up the walking habit. It's been about 2 weeks now and I'm walking a little farther every few days, taking more strenuous hills. I have to be careful to avoid injury. Even my arthritic knees are feeling pretty decent. I think the turmeric I've been taking for over a year has been very helpful.

I went to my surgeon yesterday for a post-op checkup. He said everything looked great but to avoid constipation. I'm so relieved that went well. I noticed I had gained 3 pounds since the surgery in November, but he didn't shame me for it. I kinda wish he had.

Hey HCB! Glad to see you are consistently here. I was trying to find a way to read people's individual journals but things seem different in the fatsecret layout. I wanted to check out what you've been up to!
