Life is the longest journey we will ever take, enjoy it. Love openly, laugh loudly, be free...

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful day!! I have had a rough week. Monday my boss sent me home early, saying that I wasn't doing my job. I was, but the problem is, my other boss told me to slow down because he cant keep up with me. I was stuck between the two. I am ready for a new job, but it's hard to find this time of year. I live in a college town, so summer all the college students get summer jobs, and you cant find anything. I think I want to apply at the university when fall rolls around. Maybe admin or something. I need something that pays better and I am not constantly wondering if they are going to fire me. I dont even take a lunch anymore because they had such a fit about it. No breaks, no lunch, work a full 8hrs. The ac is the warehouse is broken, so it's been over 90 degrees in there. Great for sweating out excess water, but terrible for a comfortable work environment!!

I'm losing the weight I gained while on vacation. Not all of it, but I'm getting there. I gained 20lbs, stress eating. I was embarrassed to tell you, but I know that this is a safe place. It's coming off, but slowly.

Today I will pray for strength to keep pushing forward even when I feel like I have failed. I will pray to love more, accept more, and forgive more. I will pray the Lord opens doors and brings me to where He wants me to be. I will thank Him for all the blessings He has already given me. I will pray for all of us to be better than we were yesterday. In Jesus name, Amen!!

I will do my best to post every day still, but since I cannot access the site at work and my home computer sucks, I will have to use the app. It's harder to see what I am doing, but I will make it work. Love you all!!!

Klynn, sending you love sweetie. It will all come together or off 😉. The vacation weight, which I am sure isn't fat, and a new place and new job, will all happen in it's own time. Hang in there, you're doing great. We are all here for you. ❤

My vacation weight was all about the carbs...once I get back down the scale moves, too. You will do it!

It may seem hard but there is only one way to go and that's up in life not weight lol. keep working at it and weight will be gone before you know it. jobs are hard all around. as long as you do what you love then it will work out.

Working with no breaks or lunch is against the law. I am a QC lead and I have to make sure that the employees that report to me take there breaks and lunch or I get talked to. You need to go to HR. Good luck and I hope you find a better place to work that appreciates you.

@Ann, unfortunately, in the state of Ar employers who own the business and have less than 15 employees are not required to give breaks or lunches. There is no HR, I am the only person there with any HR experience and they aren't going to listen to me. @HCB I know it will come back off, but I just hate having to lose weight I already lost!! haha @vwade I used to love my job, honestly, but they have made things so bad it's not worth it. life is too short to keep doing something that makes me miserable, I'm gonna start looking for something.

Hey Klynn, new supporter here. :-) Hang in there! I've been there too, and if you've decided that you're ready to start heading for the door... you've actually taken a huge step forward - not backward. If you let it, that one decision will totally change your perspective. Whenever you start feeling stuck (or things really suck) - that's when you can honestly remind yourself that this isn't your real job anymore... You're just temping until they call you to start your new opportunity! Sounds kind of funny - but I promise you, it got me through a lot of wait shifts, and one particularly difficult office situation. Bills need to get paid, but it's great that you have your faith to lean on, too.

I thought the lunch and break laws were federal laws not only state laws. That's awful.

I know life is hard with some people more than with others, but try to look at things for the good, I used to work 8-10 hours before and I did not have time to eat breakfast and lunch so that kept my weight stable, I fasted without knowing it, then I got another job and there I earned more money but I had 15 minutes break at 9:00 30 minutes lunch and 15 minutes break at 3, I was so happy with that, that I ate 3 times, haha in a few months I had gained 15 pounds later my life became sedentary and I gained more weight, so for me what works is to work more and eat less. Girl, I hope you can find a job where you feel good, Good luck! 😀

Hi Klynn Here I am posting before I've read all the other comments (I'll go back & read) so I apologize if I repeat already good comments given. So sorry you have to be submitted to the crazy things at work, I can relate but again I have an ok work environment, just some STUFF gets to me and I have to remember "it may be my monkey/my zoo, BUT I don't have to visit that section of the zoo right at this moment" sometimes that get me though it, and sometimes not, BUT it does help me stop and look at the situation differently and that is helpful since in the past I would take EVERYTHING personally and to heart and just shut myself in the bathroom and cry! Or burst out emotionally only to regret it later. I don't know where you work or what your job is. It is difficult now-a-days as at my job, I am doing things sometimes I don't feel comfortable doing but it is necessary right now....EEKK mentally I tell myself "don't go to that section of the zoo, keep your mind protected" I like the library and also the 24/7 fitness place I go to since they have free wifi. I can't bring my laptop in the fitness place (they might look at me strange) But the library is great plus they have AC! I only have a small portable AC which currently I'm trying not to run so I keep the electric bill low. ANYWAY, I'm sure others have commented that by law they are required to have breaks, they may say you don't get paid for the breaks, but they can't stop you from taking a break. Gee I knew some place that use to lock the bathroom and only unlock it at lunch or if you really had to go! That was like 30+ years ago, but can you imagine! I drink a lot of water, so LOOK OUT if you stand in my way to the potty, LOL ANYWAY, I wish you lived closer to me (I'm in Central FL) I would zip over and give you a hug.....Take this as a virtual hug :-)
