Today was a much better day. I've been wearing the boot for two days, the pain is mostly gone, and I can flex my foot again. Swimming without kicking. The foam that I've been using from a box is not working. The works for a while then it sucks up the water and I start to sink. BF is mad I wouldn't go to doctor, but I could tell it was bad but not broken.

Trick now is to be good and not over stress it. The bruising is quite ugly. Oh well. Life goes on. Could have used a couple more days of weekend.

If your foot isn't better very soon you really ought to have it checked out. I had foot surgery last year and the doctor was delayed for my appointment because he had a young lady come in with what she thought was a sprain, she'd been walking on it for two weeks, it was actually broken. The bones had slipped back into place but would likely not ever heal correctly. He x-rayed it, reset the bones, and put her in a special boot, with instructions to NOT walk on it until he re-x-rayed it in a couple weeks. Please be careful. You can do permanent damage if even a couple small bones are broken. Be safe.

It's much better. Swelling is almost gone, bruises are just ugly on me because I am so pale. I can stand on it with no pain, but keeping the boot on as much as possible for a couple more days minimum. I have the wonderful "high deductible" insurance which is actually worse than our previous "catastrophic" from a few years ago despite being more expensive.
