For some weird reason my eyes popped open at 3 AM this morning and I haven't been able to get back to sleep since. I'm hungry! No worries, I'm not going to have a midnight snack. I've been on facebook for the last hour or so. Boring. So, here I am.

I am so discouraged. I have been eating right and, for the first time in my life, exercising. I just weighed and I was SURE I would have lost at least another pound. What did I find? I GAINED a pound???? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I am going on a river trip in 6 weeks ~ that means shorts and bathing suits! I have to lose some weight faster than a pound every two or three weeks! Yeesh! What is going on??? I'll weigh again in the "morning" (two hours from now). By the way, did I mention that I'm hungry????? I'M STARVING!

Wednesday I finished Day 2 of Week 3 of the Couch-to-5K. It was easy compared to Day 1 of Week 3. Saturday will be the same, but Day 1 of Week 4 looks very daunting to me. I've decided to start doing some light cardio on the other four days of the week to see if it will help with my weight loss and with the running program. I'm a teacher at an intermediate school, so I borrowed a jump rope from one of the coaches. Today I locked my door (to my classroom) and jumped rope during my conference period. It's more exhausting than you would think!
