tevans's Journal, 29 January 2008

Hi everybody, I have been totally out of the loop for the last couple of weeks and I'm sorry if I didn't reply to any messages. This is a rough time of year for me. I lost my Father, my Step-Sister and my friend Jay, all to cancer, in 2007. Today is the one year anniversary of Jay's death, and my Father's birthday would have been on Friday. It's been a little harder than I was prepared for. But...I am getting back on track. Somehow with all the falling off the wagon I have done in the past 2 weeks I managed to lose 2 lbs. Go figure! Anyway, my spirits are much better today and and I think I'm climbing out of the slump. Cheers, Terri

Hang in there. I think the first anniversary of these times are the most uniquely challenging. I wont tell you it gets easier, but I will tell you it gets a little different. Kind of like if you lost your arm you know...at first would be the most challenging part, but we'd learn to adjust to life without it. We're still missing that arm even two years or ten years later, we just adapt and before you know it were getting along pretty ok. Anyway...I'm thinking of you. Hang tough and we're here whenever you need us.

Sorry to hear of all your losses. You are in my prayers and thoughts. You still lost weight how amazing if it was me I would have put on two pounds.

Believe me, I'm NOT saying losing people is like losing limbs, I'm ONLY talking about how we adapt to challenges. Thinking of you...~V

Sorry for your grief and challenges in adapting. I agree with ImLuuvd... things will get a bit easier, with time and healing. Thinking of you... ~bully

Glad your beginning to feel better. It does get better. I try to focus on the most precious gift they leave behind... the good memories, the good times.

Those losses sound huge and may be affecting you in ways you do not imagine. Be good to yourself, take care of your body, and try to go slow for a while. We go through such unimaginable shocks in life. God be with you Tevans.
