It's school holiday time! Which means I am either preparing a meal, cleaning up after a meal or organising food for a meal. Why oh why do children eat so much on the school holidays?
At least the gym is open again. I took my whole family out for long walks while the gym was closed over Easter. We went to the park, walked to our local Bluewater Festival, I chased my daughter around the big park as if we were in an obstacle course! I was so surprised that I could do it without feeling uncomfortable or out of breath anymore. I really feel like my fitness level is coming along and I am seeing results!
I'm trying really hard to stop obsessing about the scale and weigh myself less. It's almost become like a security blanket and I know I'm going to have to let it go at some point.

I feel the same way about the scale. It's hard because at times, seeing those numbers on the scale is the only change that we can really see and monitor on a regular basis. But feeling the positive changes in our fitness level are a great and welcome indicator as well, and personally, I get the most reward from feeling healthy and full of energy again :)
Good luck on your next weigh-in!
