Today proved that I am a "boredom eater". We were SO SLOW at work today. For those that don't know, I serve/bartend at a somewhat known, family friendly, casual dining restaurant (name excluded for legal reasons). Saturdays we typically get slammed, with 8 - 10 servers on while I bartend.....we ran with 5 servers today, and I had four tables over a six hour span (aka, made no money). So, once I had stocked and cleaned everything behind and around my bar, I proceeded to ingest things I know I shouldn't (like the Dove chocolate squares a coworker had brought in).
I wasn't hungry. I ate breakfast before coming in this morning. Outside of "I'm bored and I know this will taste good", I had no reason to put that in my mouth. I also sat there and reasoned that I more likely than not wanted to eat it because my TOM is coming in the next....3 - 4 days.
Well, I still have the rest of tonight and all of tomorrow to pick myself up, brush it off and try again.
