It is strange to behave so well and keep withing calorie allowance, eat wholesome food and gain weight. I must have a metabolism issue, I did have a cheat night last weekend but the small loss after that has been made back. Its so frustrating to see I hit this weight back at the beginning of February and still here despite all the efforts in between. I think I will try harder to eat more protein, that would seem to be the area I am failing at.

I’ve been a weight watcher and slimming world member for years. Worked on losing the first 2 stone then up and down. This month I am calorie punting to see if I’m just eating too much or too little. Eating healthy on11-1300 but seems not so good either! If I eat more I’m sure I’ll gain!

I dunno, Lesley I spoke to some other forums on this. It would seem that after a plateau the best way forward is to "trick" your metabolism into jack up its rate of fat burn my actually upping the calories by around 500 ie back up to your RDI . It stops your body adjusting down the rate of burn for the now lessor calorie level intake. So what I plan is have a bit of a fast day today and plan an indulgent one for two days next week. Apparently best to plan ahead on the cheat day so you stay the course on the other days and also to make sure its nutritious and not just empty calories. I'm hoping that'll give me a lift.
