Warrior63's Journal, 30 May 2012

So here I am at another period of dysfunctional eating.

Having difficulty adding enough fat to get to 100g without exceeding 84 g of protein. It seems when I increase one, something else goes haywire. So, the past few days, I aimed to increase the fat, but the protein is ridiculously high and the carbs are too low.

Working on the planning at night so that seems to be helping.

I guess the pattern emerging is that each week I focus on another factor. I need to get it all in balance.

I added fiber supplements too but I still can't seem to get that number up to 20 g either. I did some research though so I can target the higher fiber veggies.WillI be able to keep the carbs in check? We shall see.

Measured ketones a couple of days agao and I am improving since Saturday.

Had some diet soda yesterday and I'm afraid it had a negative effect.Haven't weighed since I am sure it will discourage me.

Doing well with water intake. No cravings. Absolutely no appetite. Last couple days I ate horribly. Not enough veggies. Did not eat other things badly, just not enough and the balance is askew.

Today I will try to force myself to at least eat 1 salad. I'llchange a few other things today and see what the numbers look like.

I felt a bit better this morning than I have since I started. I really hope this willcontinue soI can begin the exercise portion of my program. I have just been feeling horrible physically since I shifted my diet and lifestyle.

I'm quite thankful I made the change overall though.

I am really happy I began this journey while I have some time off from work. Some days my time is consumed with calculations and planning. Hopefully I'll adjust soon so I can get back to my life.

Bought the NANY book and companion cookbook and another LC one.Unfortunately most of the recipes don't apply to induction, and those that do aren't all that appealing. I'll search out some other sites for inspiration.

Another plus is that I amhaving no trouble sticking to this although the meat portion is not my favorite. Stillcan't wrap my head around the fat issue.

I'l keep up the fight though and see what transpires.

what about adding oils? Olive oil is a great fat to add in with your food and a healthy one too. Also, if you are cooking with oils (fried eggs, sauteed meats) be sure to enter that into your journal. You could be getting more fat than you realize.

Your weight loss history looks like a hockey stick. Take that hockey stick and knock the CRAP out of those calories, pounds, and sluggishness! Okay? Okay!
