I find it easier to plan ahead and complete my food diary in advance. I then adjust it at the end of the day if I need to. Maybe stick a note on the wall near where you do your meal preparation would help? For your exercise diary you can set up your FitBit to auto update Fatsecret through the FS Android app (not sure how to do it on iOS though). Go to settings, then exercise tracking, then Apps & Devices. I hope this helps!

I usually have a rough idea of what I'm going to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I know the exact calorie amounts I'll log them first thing. If I don't know and need to weigh out ingredients, I keep a notepad on the fridge so when I'm preparing my meal I can jot down the weight / calories. Once I've finished preparing and start cooking I enter all the ingredients into my food diary. If I find the meal comes in a bit higher calorie than I would like, I just adjust my portion size (saving the remainder, if enough, for another meal). Likewise if it comes in at not enough calories I usually add an egg or a slice if cheese to bulk it up a bit. Maybe try keeping a paper journal that you can access easier and quicker and then add onto here when you get chance?

I tend to do it just before I make something to eat or while it's cooking. but you could always stick a piece of paper to your fridge as a reminder

Record it as you eat.. occupies your mind on something other than food!! 😋

i often take a photo of my meal(not Fat Secret just camera) just before i eat it. then track it in FS immediately after you eat it. you can still use FS camera to take picture of your meal later and instead of live camera just reference the pic taken earlier. Note you do need to limit daily calories to under 1400. that is easy if you only have one meal a day. harder if you have more. watch out for roast potato. exercise should include 2 x 20 second max effort with 4 minute relax between. High Intensity Interval Training seems required for fat loss. you only need 2x20 seconds a day.

Hi, I find myself also keeping a paper copy of what I'm eating, then I can always spend a few minutes, later entering the details, and just like 'wooble' said I also have a rough idea what I'm going to eat, so I put these things in at the start, and although annoying and time consuming I read the calorie count when I go shopping, just be careful as they sometimes write for example 186cals, but in small print above say that's for 1/2 of that pack, as I was caught out like this in the pass. But once you've been doing it for a few weeks, it becomes habit, and it really is worth it. if you find yourself in that same situation, just jot it down in your diary 📓, then update once your back. Hope this is of some help 🙂 cheers 🍻 Lesley

hey. I plan my meals ahead so I record a day in advance sometimes more. then at the end of the day it's easier to remember if I ate all of it or add extras I might have had. x

I am on a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting and I plan my meals and snacks at the beginning of each to make sure it all balances, if I change anything I just do it there and then on my phone or tablet. So if I overeat in the morning I can knock some off my dinner so it all balances still - Crafty eh!
