Really struggling lately to keep my ass in gear. I wasn't too bad over the weekend, and I got a lot of exercise, but the scale isn't moving.... and yes the current weight number is fudged but I refuse to log the gain. I just want to be back to where I was 2 weeks ago. I think part of it is the change in BC. Once I have adjusted to it a little more, I think I will be fine.

Anyways, here is what my wonderful weekend consisted of: Friday morning we went out and hiked Hidden Falls. It is short but a good work out and the fiance had never been out there. After that, we picked up the monster from Grandma and headed home. My BFF came over to give me my birthday present and have dinner. Birthday present was the light pink and tan classic coach wristlet that I have had my eye on for a few months! Gosh I am spoiled. Dinner was the local burrito place.... needless to say dinner was bad. Early to bed Friday because we had to be at the race (40 minutes from my house) at 6:55 am to meet with the rest of our team.

The Susan G Komen was a slow, boring walk and it was pretty warm but we made it. Even though my child conned one of my coworkers kids into carrying her almost the entire way.... Little snot. Thank goodness for 13 year olds. Then we went home and got ready to go to a bbq at a friends house.

Sunday morning I woke up at 7:30, WHAT, yes 7:30. I don't even do that normal days, but the day after waking up so early and drinking pretty tough... why??? Well I went and got stuff to cook for breakfast and killed time watching TV until the other sleepy heads in my house woke up. We went to church with Ryan's mom and then headed out to the lake. All in all a nice, quiet Mother's Day.

Monday morning we got up and headed out to find the Fairy Falls trail. Well, the good news is we found it. The bad news is it is one of the least user friendly trails I have ever been on. There is no map, no trail markers and TONS of side trails. So we start out to the left side of this unmarked path walking and walking and walking, passing some really cool ponds, but going completely away from the creek. So we run into a rancher and ask him if we are going in the right direction and sure enough, we weren't. We have to go back to where we started, at least a mile and go two miles in the opposite direction. So we did. The trail took us along the creek, through a cow pasture and finally we saw a sign that directed us to either the upper or lower falls. We decided to take the upper falls trail and hike down from there to the lower falls. It was beautiful, but by the time we got down there, hiking over huge boulders and down steep hillsides I thought my knees were going to explode!!!! We hiked down to the water, put on our bathing suits and jumped in the creek to cool off. It was great. Then we hiked the other 2+ miles out. Left my phone in the car since I didn't have reception, but my guess is we hiked somewhere between 6 and 7 miles with our lovely little detour. I am still sore. Every muscle from my mid back down hates me. But it feels good. Didn't go to the gym yesterday or today, but I will be back at it tomorrow. I need to see that scale start dropping again.

Sounds like a fun weekend!! The Fairy Falls hike sounds like lots of fun, even with the detour - you know I've been watching "I Shouldn't Be Alive" too much when my brain starts making a crazy elaborate story as soon as I read that the trails were unmarked and you left your phone in the car... !!! Be careful out there! ;) Back at it today, get those calories down...
