Didn't lose but didn't gain, either. Oh well. Better than a gain!
I have my 2nd free "personal trainer" scheduled for tomorrow evening. My goal this week is to work out M-W-F at the gym. Once the rainy weather subsides, I'm going to try and walk T-Th evenings/mornings so that I'm exercising 5 days a week.
Did good on breakfast this morning. My daughter and I had eggs, turkey sausage links, 1/2 banana, and a small portion of grits. Very tasty and satisfyng.
Yesterday found myself out and about before I could get anything to eat at home, so wanted to get something on the way to an appointment. I thought long and hard about where I could go, that had a drive-thru, that didn't just have burgers! I realized there was a Taco Time along the way so I stopped and got myself 1 veggie soft taco and a diet coke. I was SO tempted to get the "meal" but had to remind myself that the mexi nuggets would not help me acheive my weight loss. However, the veggie soft taco would. It was satisfying with the beans and fresh veggies, whole wheat tortilla, etc. I was proud of myself for JUST getting that and nothing more. I am fully aware that drive-thru is not "user friendly" for those wanting to become healthy, but to be realistic, when one does need something to eat, I think weighing out the options and trying to pick as 'healthy' as you cn is a good place to start.
Well, have lots to do today.

I didn't know there was a time there in your neck of the woods that the rainy weather EVER subsides! LOL I remember training there for a coast to coast bike ride and having to come home with mud all over me from all the cars slashing water puddles and road sludge on me. Oh ick, not the best memories there. Im so happy to hear your making wiser choices. Keep at it, the more you do it the better you feel and the easier it will get! Go get e'm!

LOL Actually, it doesn't rain here ALL the time. I think maybe 3 of the 12 months is when it rains the most consistantly and, yes, it can get depressing. However, today the sun is shining and it makes me feel invigorated!

lol Great job, sista!! I'm very proud of you!! I was forced to make a healthy decision today at the drive thru with the family after church today, too... but I did it!! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on sour dough with just firercracker sauce, no mayo. :) It isn't easy, but is possible and YES drive thrus are just EVIL!! lol Always eat before you leave and grab a quick snack to have in the car running around, it makes it much more manageable and "doable"!! That and water. lol What a great workout week you have planned!! I can't wait to see your blowout weigh in next week!!! Ride, sista, RIDE!!! lol YEE-HAW!

When tempted to give in to temptation - I just remember all my FS buddies and how dedicated they are and how I really don't want to dissapoint my team and I make the best choice possible. Tonight I worked late and decided I would like to eat out so I had my daughter meet me at Applebees - as good as everything looked - I made the choice to eat SB friendly foods - a grilled chicken caesar salad with the dressing on the side and no croutons - and water as my beverage. I did not have to leave the restaurant feeling overly full, or guilty for eating off plan - and I was empowered by my ability to make the right choice when faced with multiple tempting options.....but as I have said before - I no longer crave those foods that are bad for me....I still can't believe it.

My toughest challange, at the moment, is that it's "that time of the month" and I seem to have the cravings for chocolate really bad, along with latte's. I bought myself some SBD chocolate chip cookies and am working on the latte by trying to drink coffee with s/f syrup. NOT the same, though! I wish I could figure out a way of getting rid of THESE particular cravings. They are bad enough to make me want to go out of my way to get them!
