Walked 3.1 miles yesterday but won't be exercise-walking today. I've got chauffeur duty getting DH to work and then back and forth to an eye appointment mid-afternoon.

I'm still thinking about exactly how to manage my foods today....lots of things putting me off schedule. The same thing, to a lesser degree, happened yesterday, so I did break out an Atkins bar to take along with me. Might have to do the same today. Oh well, they're good and this is exactly the kind of situation they're perfect for.

Hope things continue to go well for your husband's eye. BTW - do any of the doggies ever get to go for a ride? "RIDE" is my dog's 2nd favorite word (right after "TREAT").

Absolutely. In fact, I had toyed with taking them this AM and walking a path around the flightline on base. In the end, I realized I would not really have more than about 20-25 minutes to walk them before I would need to pack them up and head back home to await the HVAC guys. It was do-able, but not worth the extra effort for such a shortened walk, IMO. Anyway, turned out I could have done a full walk with them, as the guy didn't show until nearly 10:30! BTW, if I unload groceries and my Collie guy can slip out the door (he's SURE I would say it's OK.....yeah, right), he'll hop on into the car thru the back hatchback, making room for himself amidst the groceries still there! He LOVES to go for a ride. In fact, at some point before we got him, he learned how to ride on a 4-wheeler and loved to do that too.

Hi Sandy...hope DH's eye appointment goes well! Cute story about collie guy, when they do stuff like that I always smile as I think there is a reason they are so cute! Hopefully he doesn't do that when he's all full of mud!

Yes - I figured they were that spoiled!

Sandy, I agree that is exactly what the bars are for. Good choice! As for the doggies...we have 3 that love to go bye-bye. Our Pyrenees mix can always tell, even if the time to leave is hours away, and he follows us around to make sure he doesn't miss the ride! Love those furbabies! Have a great rest of your week...hope DH's eyes are getting better. Hugs!
