kmartdollie's Journal, 25 April 2012

Well, the gym today was a bust. I went there, and then I started feeling nauseous from taking my morning meds. Usually this isn't a problem because I eat breakfast, but for some reason today it was. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and then I just gave up and went to Chipotle and had lunch. I should be on target calorically today, but since I'm having a steak for dinner I can't have any snacks. I am so bummed about the scale. I have been using the scale at the gym because it is about 4 pounds lighter than my home scale, and my doctor's office scale is about 4 pounds lighter than my home scale. They recently recalibrated the scale in the gym - I guess it was weighing light. In the two weeks since they did this, I've lost 4 pounds on the gym scale, but my weight is not down where it was before the recalibration. I know I didn't gain any weight because I didn't gain any on my home scale and I've been pretty on target with eating and exercise. Still, it's bumming me out. I have no idea what I "actually" weigh. I am just getting nervous for my doctor's appt. next month and I want to lose as much weight as possible. I guess I need to spend the money and get a nice digital scale for home. I wish I could go to the doctor's office and just weigh on that scale, but there's no way they will let me - probably not without a ten dollar copay!

If I were you, I'd get a reliable scale for home and only weigh on that. That way it is more consistent. I know when I go to the doctor my weight will be a couple of pounds higher than home, but that's okay, I just stick with my scale because that's what I have been using. Also, you don't want to get bummed everytime they recalibrate the gym scale. Keep going with your plan and I'm sure you'll see a loss soon enough. Good luck!!
