6 more days to go on maintenance. I am getting excited for the next chapter that I will tackle on my own. Got some new runners for my runs that I plan to squeeze in. Went to my mother's house as she cooked a roasted chicken with all the fixings for my sweeties birthday which was Friday. It tasted amazing! I had her homemade gravy which I know contains flour but it was soooo good! She made a delicious chocolate cake and I had a small piece of that as well. NOT in the protocol however this wasn't as bad as the whole Easter ordeal, so I don't feel bad at all.
I am also so pleased with my mom, as she told me a month ago she wanted to follow the same diet as I did to give it a good honest try. I ordered her the same stuff that I used, and she is currently in the loading phase. Although she insists she cannot possibly eat that much during this time, I am going to help her along and force feed her over the phone, lol! She is starting out at the identical weight and height that I was and is 53 years young and going through menopause. I have been encouraging her that no matter the age, that she can do this. My mom is old school thinking such as " I am too old, or I wish I could do that but too late!" I am trying to change her thinking and hoping with any little progress, that she will see she is capable of acheiving anything she puts her mind to! I really want her to feel better, like she did when she was exercising every day - unfortunately that ended over a year ago as she could barely walk over the arthritis symptoms in her feet she would feel after using the treadmill! She was in serious pain for a long time that is thankfully under control now - it just left her a little gun shy to start getting active again.

Here's to all the beautiful women in the world, no matter where they are at any time, at any age and at any weight!
