Getting enough carbs has never been my problem; keeping them 20 or below is. I love fresh vegetables, especially tomatoes and onions, but I don't get carbs only from the vegetables I eat. Not only for salads, but I use onions in so much of my cooking--though I'm limiting them more now--and onions contain a good bit of carbs, so I have to be careful. Same with tomatoes. Even if I'm eating salads I usually eat cheese too, which almost always has at least 1 carb per serving. Add in some yogurt and my morning Atkins Shake each day, and maybe a bit of chocolate or a sugarfree candy or two, maybe a snack of almonds and maybe a glass of wine with dinner and I have no problem getting in the carbs. I'm glad you're not having any trouble though.

I went ten days without losing any weight, so I was trying to be as precise as I could be in following the rules for the Induction Period. As I understand it we are supposed to limit cheese to 3-4 ounces, and vegetables to 3 cups, and that's just not coming up to even 15 net carbs. I show high 20s in the carbs, but if you subtract the fiber for the net carbs, I'm below 15. I added 10 cherry tomatoes the other evening just to achieve 15 carbs or so. ??? Anyway, I'm about at the two-week mark for the Induction Period, and I think I'm going to move on the the Ongoing Weight Loss Phase so that I have a little more latitude in where I can legitimately get my carbs from. I'll still aim for 20 for a while longer, but I think that will be easier if we can include larger portions of vegetables and some berries, etc. I still have to read the second on OGW to know for sure exactly what I can eat and what the restrictions are.
