Ok this is my first journal entry. I am writing in this to tell you a little bit about my journey. When i got pregant at the age of 16 I was only 105 lbs. My doctors kept pushing me to gain weight for the baby's sake, but my body's metabolisim was so fast it just wouldnt stick. So I began eating TONS of food, probably not so good food just so i could gain some weight. When finally I did, the lbs just kept sticking on. LOL. I gained 55 lbs through out my pregnancy. My son is now 7 years old, and I weigh 132 now!! i just cant seem to get this weight off. I did get some unhealthy habits such as my addiction to dr pepper, and LOTS of sugar...and times i was too lazy to cook fast food always seemed like the best option. My husband is deployed to Iraq right, and even though he tells me everyday that he loves me that way that I am. I would still like to loose ATLEAST 10 lbs before he comes home. I have 6 months to work on this. I allow myself one cheat day a week, this way it gives me a chance to slip up without the guilt lol I would like to praise myself because I have completly cut SODA out of my diet. And I hardley eat anything with sugar in it anymore. Hopefully i can step up to the plate this time, and loose the weight and keep it up. I am looking for a lifestyle change not just a quick fix :0)

Allowing yourself 1 day a week to "cheat" is actually a good idea. I think I might use that for myself.
