We are framing in the basement today. I had to shrink the waist on my tool belt because it was sliding down too low and I was going to trip over my own hammer!

Framing is fun! I like it because you see progress so quickly. Congrats on the tool belt progress. :-)

I agree, T8U9. I like framing, but it's our first time doing soffits/bulkheads, and I don't like them very much...though we're getting better at them, now that we're nearly done! We are slow (DIY-ers), and I confess, I'll be glad when our part is done and the systems guys get a turn (you know, while I rest and do foam in around the fire blocking!).

It's been a good day. We framed until we ran low on lumber, did some figuring and planning, made an errand run, had supper. We're going to put up a little fire block and plan a trip to Lowes in the morning. I picked a little over a pound and a half of green beans in the garden (and saw a praying mantis - wahoo!), and saw that more zucchini will be ready soon. Off to help with the fire block!
