I was so tempted today. I was about 2 minutes away from dialing Pizza Hut but at the last second, as tired as i was, loaded up the kids and went to Kroger and got a South Beach pizza instead. Not exactly what I was drooling over but I guess it did its job. Yay me!! A little disappointed though because I was trying to do phase 1 for a month. I am just scared my weight loss will slow down too much if I switch to phase 2. Has it for anyone or do you keep losing pretty well?

anytime i have southbeached and made it to phase two, the weight did stop coming off. Granted i didn't have lots to lose in the first place, but i found that once i brought in fruit, breads, etc, it was waaaay too easy to start eating too many of them. I have been doing phase one pretty much since i started a good couple months ago. I have brought in fruit, and i have had the odd piece of pizza, a wrap one day...little things like that, but nothing consistently. definatly more of a treat here and there. I don't know. You could always try phase two for a week or two, see how its going, then decide from there.

I think I will do like you, when I do need something different, I'll let that be my treat. An apple with peanut butter, or whole grain bread. I am with you, once I start adding things, I will go overboard.

My strategy has been similar to what Jessicka said. For me phase 2 hasn't been that different from phase 1 except that I'll let myself have one phase 2 approved meal in a day. So, one day I'll have high fiber cereal for b-fast and some berries. The next day I'm back to eggs, but maybe I'll have a wrap instead of a salad... etc. And many days it's not any different from phase 1. My weight loss slowed down some with the introduction of phase 2, but not much. However, my weight loss has been slow the whole time so I'm not sure that my pattern is representative to what happens for most people. Good luck with the transition!

Sticking on phase 1 only doesnt work either. I have been on it for over a month and a half with 1 week break in between there. I lost over 15 pounds the first few weeks and these last few weeks I've lost 0. I am working out 4 days a week too but the weight remains.
