Hi Everybody,
Skipped the July 4th eats and drinks- stuck to proteins and low carbs all week. Ready to get beyond the next three lb. hump. Working hard at it. Learning about LCHF Diet. Found great information on dietdoctor.com. It's quite a change going from low fat and controlled calories like Weight Watchers and relearning another probably better way to eat (from a scientific view point), and now that I understand the science behind it I am 100% on board! And, I am losing the weight like crazy! Once I get my healthier menu firmly in place I intend to start fasting 16:8. Started out at 1200 calories per day but never use that many so now dropping down to 1000 per day. I have completely stopped eating any form of sugar. It has made a big difference for me in how fast the pounds are dropping off. I have no cravings and I am never hungry. I'm eating lots of lean proteins and under 50 grams of healthy carbs. I'm aiming for 20 g of carbs daily but need to keep tweaking food choices to get there. Also have stopped eating starchy vegetables - any veggies that grow under ground including my favorite to cook with -onions. I also stopped eating dairy except for a tablespoon of butter about once a week and one serving of greek yogurt once a week. I keep a long list taped to the front of my kitchen cabinet (right where I prep food) of everything I can eat; makes it easier. I also keep that list close at hand when making my shopping list and when planning my meals.
I have decided my health, my nutrition, exercise, improving my eating habits- all of these things mean taking the best care of me! This is now my most important JOB! I now consider this my full time job.
I have spent a lifetime taking care of others and now it's really time to put my needs and wants first. Boy, does that feel great!
232.0 lb Lost so far: 21.0 lb.    Still to go: 87.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
