PattiUnleashed's Journal, 03 July 2017

Just writing this note to myself. this evening I held my 12 year old Golden Retriever Creena while she died in my arms. I am sad beyond belief. I'm an emotional eater/starver. I cannot eat any dinner tonight. I'm letting this be okay, but I must eat on plan tomorrow. May my heart find comfort.

My heart is so warmed to see all of your responses to me. <3 Thank you. I splurged on an emotional comfort dinner, but I only am allowing one of these a month, and without dessert. The carbs (rolls, potato) are such a comfort. I found my golden retriever necklace a friend gave to me a couple years ago and its a little tiny golden retriever on the chain. It's helping.

I'm so, so sorry to know that you had to go through this. Be glad that she was in your arms and felt your love as she was set free. They are one of the most amazing gifts we ever get. My condolences for the loss in your life.

She has gone over the rainbow bridge and is playing with all our ones like my Holly and Clyde who have crossed it before her :)

You will always remember - we all do. Keep reaching out and take the time to revisit the fondest of those memories... they have become a part of you. Honor her by how you keep living your life.

I'm so sorry. I held my Briar just over two years ago and watched her leave me. I understand how deep your pain is. So very sorry.
