I don't mind eating non-standard breakfast foods for breakfast. New realizations for me everyday...couldn't finish breakfast...I was full because now, I'm paying attention to what my body is telling me. Like, recognizing when I'm full instead of eating every last crumb on the plate because that's what I was taught to do growing up. How dumb it was to be made to eat everything that was put on your plate. Those parents and grandparents lived through the Great Depression and learned to never let anything go to waste.
Years later, another wiser woman taught me this:
"Better to go to waste then to waist!"
