I am doing pretty well at the gym this week. I have gone five days in a row already and I will probably make it to seven days this week. I am still doing the increased resistance on the elliptical, and I have incorporated just a bit of jogging into my walking. I am having trouble with my ankles when I walk. At first I thought it was my new shoes, but I am having the same problem with my old shoes. Then I thought it might be the track, but I tried it on the treadmill today and the same issue. I don't know what to do. Normally I only have ankle pain when I run. I give up. It wasn't that bad today, so tomorrow I am going back to my new shoes, but I think I will stick with the treadmill. It was nice not having people pass me on the track, and nice to have a clock and a heart rate right in front of me. I am only jogging 5 minutes out of 30, but it's a start. I am hoping to increase that gradually next week. So far people at work have really started to notice my weight loss, and that feels great. I have so much more to go, though. I lost two pounds over 3 days 3 days ago, and I am trying not to look at my weight history or obsess over it for now. I am not weighing myself until Monday, and I am hoping to have lost some more, but I am not holding my breath. I know it will come off, but the progress is slow, even though I am still losing 2 pounds a week. Last month was my first month, and I lost ten pounds. I know I will probably not lose that much this month. You just can't sustain that rapid of a weight loss. If I lose 8 pounds this month I will be happy.
