Yesterday was a total loss, I was wanting something, I think I needed something sweet, didn't have anything sweet but ate everything else. Told myself this morning that was enough, get back to it and stay the course, I have lost 28 pounds so don't blow it.
I do have a question, can anyone give me some ideas what to eat to get enough protien without blowing the calorie count?? Or, should I not even worry about the calorie count?? Thanks

I took the liberty to look over your diet calendar and noted that you are under calorie totals on most days. I am 65 so I know the fear that eating more calories will mean weight gain and also how difficult it is to lose weight at our age. You are doing so well with your weight loss. By looking over your meals I think you would be safe to add more meat or cheese protein. Your protein percents seem to be a little low. I also wonder if by increasing your protein you might also alleviate some of the cravings you experience at night. I am not an expert on this and I am sure that there are others with much more knowledge than I. I emphasize with you on all counts.

I think you should be giving us all hints on losing weight almost 30 lbs. in a couple months. I'm your age and it's taken me over a year to lose about 55 lbs. I'm not on Atkins but have tryed to up my protein and lower my carbs. I like protein shakes---eggs and egg whites---jerky---50 % less fat cheddar cheese. But what I can see you're right on the money or should I say the diet.

You are doing so well, and you are consistantly loosing. For something sweet I sometimes roast unsalted regular almonds, the ones that come in a bag at costco, in a skillet with a little coconut oil. While I move them around, I sprinkle them with cinnamon/splenda ( granulated Splenda that I've mixed with cinnamon). They are tasty, have served them to our Bible study group. They wanted to know where I bought them, liked them.
