Have you ever noticed that whenever you start a diet, there is free food all around? I had a meeting at work, that included pizza and soda. I caved in. I had a small piece of pizza, and a slice of garlic bread, I also had salad with ranch dressing. That is not even the worse part. After I had all that, I thought "I already went off the diet, I might as well as a frappachino too." So I stopped by the local starbucks and had a Chai Cream frappachino. It was Yummy.

I actually didn't gain weight like I expected, rather, I lost a pound. It's weird how our bodies act sometimes.

Losing weight, one day at a time! :D

I started a life style change......I hope that is what you are doing as well. Food is always going to be around, what we are going to do with it, that is the essential question. Just because it is there does not mean that we have to eat it. A friend here told me, that that is the only thing we have control over, what we eat. I thought that was a very very wise statement. Don't beat yourself up, things like this happen and you will learn how to overcome them more and more. That is what I am practicing. You can do this.

I did notice that when I started the diet. I've taken it as a lesson though. Usually I would grab whatever is offered up at work, just because it was free. Not because I was hungry. I remember having a bagel for breakfast, and then someone bringing bagels into work to share, and I had another. Not hungry, just wanted what was free. Now that I think back on it, I was a crazy eater! I am so proud of what I am now able to walk away from. I'm sure you'll get to that point too. Remember, there are a few coffee drinks in the menu guide that you can get and count it as a dairy. Pick yourself up from this bump in the road, and learn your lesson. (I once skipped a meeting a week or so into my diet because they were serving free pizza. I still can't believe I made it!)
